eGuardian
The FBI’s eGuardian database is a sensitive but unclassified threat tracking system. The eGuardian system allows state, local, tribal, and campus law enforcement partners to record threat information or cyber incidents, in a standardized format. The information is then reviewed and analyzed at the state and local levels to assist in assessing terrorism related threats, cyber incidents, and suspicious activities, thereby enabling links, relationships, and encouraging the sharing of vetted information within the law enforcement ocmmunity.
U.S. DOJ – Computer Crimes and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS)
The CCIPS is responsible for implementing the Department’s national strategies in combating computer and intellectual property crimes worldwide. The CCIPS attorneys prevent, investigate, and prosecute computer crimes by working with other government agencies, the private sector, academic institutions, and foreign counterparts.
Arizona – Maricopa County Attorney’s Office
The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has a team of prosecutors, legal assistants and investigators dedicated to prosecuting computer-related crimes and providing technical assistance to all law enforcement agencies around the state. The office focuses on the following types of cases: online luring, cyber stalking, virus attacks, online auction fraud, online escort services, and network intrusions.
National Association of Attorneys General
NAAGÕs mission is to facilitate interaction among Attorneys General as peers and to facilitate the enhanced performance of Attorneys General and their staffs. The Association fosters interstate cooperation on legal and law enforcement issues, conducts policy research and analysis of issues, conducts training, and facilitates communication between the statesÕ chief legal officers and all levels of government.
New Jersey – Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office – High-Tech Crime Unit
The primary mission of the Ocean County ProsecutorÕs Office High-Tech Crime Unit is to provide all of the law enforcement agencies in the Ocean County with specially trained Detectives to conduct and/or assist with investigating technology related crimes, which includes seizing digital evidence, conducting impartial and objective analysis of digital evidence using the best available tools and procedures, and providing video enhancement services.
Ohio – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office
Investigators are available to assist with any type of criminal case. Some are assigned to specific units or task forces, including the DNA Cold Case Task Force, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Organized Crime Task Force, the Cold Case Unit and the Economic Crime Unit.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office – Computer Crimes Unit
The Computer Crimes Unit investigates crimes committed within Maricopa County that have a nexus to electronic media or the Internet. In addition, The Computer Crimes Unit Forensic Technicians perform examinations of digital media in order to develop evidence in support of criminal investigations conducted throughout the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, in addition to assisting other law enforcement agencies
RISS – Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC)
RISS offers secure information sharing and communications capabilities, critical analytical and investigative support services, and event deconfliction to enhance officer safety. RISS supports efforts against organized and violent crime, gang activity, drug activity, terrorism, human trafficking, identity theft, and other regional priorities.
