Kirksville Regional Computer Crimes Unit
The KRCCU is an affiliate agency with the Missouri ICAC Task Force and handles any criminal case involving illegal activity that has taken place involving a computer or related media devices. Missouri State Highway Patrol – Digital Forensics Investigative Unit
The Digital Forensics Investigative Unit supports the Patrol and other law enforcement agencies in the investigation of a broad range of computer-related crimes. In addition to working Internet complaints, the Unit also receives computers, cell phones, and other digital devices for the purpose of gathering evidence for a case. The Unit has worked on computers involving homicides, arson, child pornography and drugs.
Missouri State Technical Assistance Team (STAT) – Missouri Child Fatality Review Program
STAT has commissioned law enforcement officers, available 24/7, who can provide hands-on assistance and support in conducting criminal investigations involving computer exploitation/child pornography, crime scene collection/ reconstruction, and conducting computer/digital/cellular forensic examinations. STAT promotes aggressive prosecution as a deterrent to child maltreatment, child exploitation and child homicide. In addition, STAT trains and supports the field-level intervention/investigative community to help realistically convert policy into practice.
Poplar Bluff Police Department – Southeastern MO Cyber Crimes Task Force
The SEMO Cyber Crimes Task Force conducts investigations and forensic examinations of digital media to fight online criminals who often seek to entice children and deal in child pornography.
Dent County SheriffĂ•s Office – South Central MO Cyber Crimes Task Force
The South Central Task Force investigates crimes that exploit children on the internet. That includes the proactive tracking of the distribution of child pornography and the development new tools and techniques to find persons exploiting children on the internet.
Tri-Lakes Regional Internet Crime Task Force
The Tri-Lakes Regional Internet crimes Task Force is part of the larger MO ICAC Task Force which is based out of St. Charles County in Missouri. Detectives have received extensive training in the previewing and forensic searching of computers and cell phones, and work with other detectives in a ten county area to combat the crimes of child exploitation and other crimes against children on the Internet. Stone County undertook the role of lead agency in the task force in 2011.
