Modesto PD – High-Tech Unit
Realizing the urgent need to investigate crimes involving technology, the Modesto Police Department created a computer forensics lab with one dedicated detective. The Hi-Tech Unit is responsible for investigating all computer and internet related crimes which occur in the city limits of Modesto. In addition to investigating computer related crimes, the Hi-Tech Unit also helps the other units assigned to Investigation Services Division with the technology components of their cases.

Belmont PD – Computer Crime Unit
The Computer Crime Unit is tasked with investigating crimes that have a digital evidence component. These crimes can be inherently digital in nature, such as online auction fraud; or have an element of digital evidence, such as a drug investigation that cellphones have been seized from. Computer Crime Investigators investigate both online components of high-tech crime, and also perform forensic analyses on seized, surrendered, or recovered computers, cellphones, digital cameras, etc.
NEMLEC Computer Crime Unit
The North Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council is a consortium of 50 cities and towns in Northeastern Massachusetts that share police services and two sheriffs departments (Middlesex/Essex). The Medford Police Department hosts the Computer Crime unvestigation Unit for the NEMLEC. The Computer Crime Unit is responsible for taining police in computer crime investigations, providing community-based Internet Safety Training and to investigate all forms of crimes facilitated by the use of high technology within our jurisdictions.
Suffolk County Police Computer Crimes Unit
The Suffolk Cyber Crime Unit aims to combat the rising number of cyber and cyber enabled crime. The unit will be responsible for investigating all offences where networked computers or technology have bee nused to commit crimes, from child pornography, human trafficking, drugs and contraband and the increasing problem of online fraud.
LIRCB Computer Crimes Unit
The Labor, Insurance and Revenue Crimes Bureau is created by the District Attorney to apply a multidisciplinary approach to addressing crimes that undermine U.S. economy and drain needed revenue from the public by integrating several units to comprehensively address these crimes. The Computer Crimes Unit is staffed by specially-trained detective investigators who are responsible for investigating crimes under Article 156 of the Penal law. The unit also assists the SCPD Computer Crime Section investigations.
Cary PD – Cyber Crimes Unit
The Town of Cary Police Department is only one of four agencies in the Triangle area to have a Cyber Crimes Unit proactively pursuing online offenders. Detectives have developed areas of expertise in subjects such as sex offenses, child abuse and neglect, juvenile crimes, forgery and fraud, white collar crime, and computer crimes. Detectives also maintain a close working relationship with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as with the District Attorney’s office
Nixa PD – Cyber Crimes Unit
The Nixa Police Department created a Cyber Crimes Unit and joined the Tri-Lakes Internet Crimes Task Force in early 2010. The Cyber Crimes Unit mainly focuses on Internet crimes directed towards the sexual abuse, exploitation and enticement of children. In December of 2011, the Nixa Cyber Crimes Unit received state-of-the-art equipment from the Tri-Lakes Internet Crimes Task Force seated in Stone County to begin conducting forensic examinations.
