Platte County Sheriff’s Office – Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force

The overall goal of the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force (WMCCTF) is to safeguard children by focusing on Internet sexual predators that will attempt to sexually abuse, injure, or molest children within the enforcement area. The WMCCTF is the only local level multi-jurisdictional Cyber Crimes Task Force in northwest Missouri that is tasked with proactively investigating child enticement and child pornography on the Internet. Missouri State Highway Patrol – Digital Forensics Investigative Unit

The Digital Forensics Investigative Unit supports the Patrol and other law enforcement agencies in the investigation of a broad range of computer-related crimes. In addition to working Internet complaints, the Unit also receives computers, cell phones, and other digital devices for the purpose of gathering evidence for a case. The Unit has worked on computers involving homicides, arson, child pornography and drugs.

Missouri State Technical Assistance Team (STAT) – Missouri Child Fatality Review Program

STAT has commissioned law enforcement officers, available 24/7, who can provide hands-on assistance and support in conducting criminal investigations involving computer exploitation/child pornography, crime scene collection/ reconstruction, and conducting computer/digital/cellular forensic examinations. STAT promotes aggressive prosecution as a deterrent to child maltreatment, child exploitation and child homicide. Joplin Police Department – Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force

The Southwest Missouri Cyber Crime Task Force (SMCCTF) encompasses the 13 counties in the southwest corner of Missouri. The major focus of the SMCCTF is the detection, investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of sexual predators who exploit children through the use of the Internet. Investigations may include Internet enticement of children, promotion and possession of child pornography, trafficking of children, terrorist threats such as plots of violence at schools, or other crimes consistent with the ICAC standards and procedures.

Tri-Lakes Regional Internet Crime Task Force

The Tri-Lakes Regional Internet crimes Task Force is part of the larger MO ICAC Task Force which is based out of St. Charles County in Missouri. Detectives have received extensive training in the previewing and forensic searching of computers and cell phones, and work with other detectives in a ten county area to combat the crimes of child exploitation and other crimes against children on the Internet. Stone County undertook the role of lead agency in the task force in 2011.
