The Rhode Island Cyber Security Initiative works to address gaps in protecting critical infrastructure within Rhode Island from cyber attacks and cyber terrorism related events. The investigators prevent, protect against, detect, respond to and assist in the recovery of cyber terrorism related incidents. The Initiative also assists in the assessment of risks to Rhode Island’s critical cyber-infrastructure, identifying potential means of cyber attacks and recommending protective controls for critical information systems.

South Dakota Office of the Attorney General – Division of Criminal Investigation
The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation State Forensic Laboratory (SDFL) is dedicated to providing forensic science services to the law enforcement and judicial systems of South Dakota in the specialties of computer examinations.
Office of the Attorney General – Cyber Crime Unit
The Unit proactively seeks out and arrests child predators who commit sex crimes against children using technology and the Internet. The Unit works in coordination and cooperation with public and private entities dedicated to the detection and prevention of online child exploitation. The Unit trains law enforcement personnel and teaches cyber safety awareness to school administrators, students, and the general public.
Montana Office of the Attorney General – Computer Crime Unit
The Computer Crime Unit trains law enforcement officers statewide in the area of computer crime. The unit also develops programs for schools and parentsÕ organizations to acquaint them with the safety rules of using the Internet and computers.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department – Las Vegas Electronic Crimes Task Force
The Las Vegas Electronic Crimes Task Force (LVECTF), hosted by the U.S. Secret Service and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Cybercrimes Unit, combats computer-related crimes. The LVECTF combines the expertise of both local and federal law enforcement officers well-versed in the investigation of financial and computer related crimes, as well as that of participants from the private and academic community. The LVECTF also offers the community a resource for local contacts, cyber security concerns and information on the prevention of economic loss.
New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General – Internet Crimes Unit
The Attorney General’s Office Internet Crime Unit gives numerous presentations to parents and teachers across New Hampshire on the topics of social networking, cyberbulling and the misuse of digital images. The Internet Crime Unit offers these educational presentations in an effort to ensure that New Hampshire’s young people are safe on the Internet.
New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC)
The New Jersey Cybersecurity & Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC) is the StateÕs one-stop shop for cybersecurity information sharing, analysis, and incident reporting. Located at the Regional Operations and Intelligence Center, it brings together analysts and engineers from the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, the State Police, and the Office of Information Technology to promote statewide awareness of local cyber threats and widespread adoption of best cybersecurity practices.
