This course will provide the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to perform a baseline digital forensic examination by effectively using leading commercial and open-source digital forensic suites on current digital evidence. The digital forensic suites covered in the class are X-ways Forensics, Autopsy, and Magnet Axiom. The concepts covered will include interface overviews, configurations, hashing, file signature analysis, keyword searching, data recovery, metadata parsing, and reporting.Key concepts covered in this course include:
